Invasion Day +62 The news is spreading faster than we can keep up with here. The west appears to have finally decided enough is enough and we can now expect a massive escalation of the war. Russia is being hit repeatedly, possibly from within, but also from without. Putin is trying to drag as many countries as he can into the conflict, possibly to deflect the atrocious disaster the war has become for Russia. Putin threatens and threatens again but knows that if he presses the button he will be completely obliterated within minutes.
Cutting Poland and Bulgaria off from Russian gas is what maybe needs to happen: maybe we will all then understand that this is a war, war costs, we are all losers, we cannot have a war and expect to carry on as if it was not really our concern. It is our concern and we have to adjust: rationing, outages, what ever it takes. War costs.
The biggest danger now is that if Putin starts to lose heavily in the east, as is quite possible given the appalling leadership of his armies, then what madness will he descend even further into?
The question is rhetorical.
Serious western armament is now starting to arrive in Ukraine: this war will not end soon and the world must wait for the outcome. Putin must be stopped and Russia must be freed from his tyranny. But how?
The question is rhetorical.
And how do we maintain our stand for Ukraine, and for peace? Social media? Phoning Putin?
The question is unrhetorical.
