Invasion Day +51 Today we focus on Putin's desperate attempts to source replacement munitions from dubious allies. As suspected, it is is likely his first supply of munitions is all but exhausted causing him to search the world for new supplies. There will be plenty willing to trade, such is the amoral nature of the arms trade and the arms traders. (The west, by current necessity and past opportunism, is not excepted from this terror-full business.)
We read of RPGs (Rocket Propelled Grenades),a defensive missile system (believed to be the Bavar 373) and other weaponry being sourced by Iranian gun smugglers and sourced from Iraq. Already trade has occurred from Iran to the Russo-Syrian alliance of evil so what appears to be taking place is the increased polarisation of the world into a war for freedom against tyranny. We are all on the front line of the new world order until tyranny is defeated. Sadly, we believe there are only two ways this evil can be defeated. The first and the best way in theory, is either by the spontaneous will of all the people refusing to engage in it, a rising against the brutality of the directing dictators but a rise with a history of revengeful repression as in Syria and other Arab Soring uprisings. Or by military force. Very sadly we are forced to believe that it is only by military force, with all the inherent evil it contains for everyone involved, that the terrible and almost unbelievable degradation of one man's evil can be defeated.
The biggest weapon of this war so far has been the propaganda war, won almost completely by Putin and is the west's biggest failure. Once the truth has been totally suppressed then any barbarity is possible. It is the power of words that has proved to be the biggest weapon in Putin's armoury, without this he would have been defeated before he had ever stepped over the line. The west has so far failed to ensure the words of truth can live and all else that has followed is the result. This failure has caused the death of freedom in Russia and has directed the course of martial carnage, a carnage that is creeping, as insidiously as the arms trade it sponsors, across the world.
This is why we call upon all writers, all those who can wield a pen with creative power, to continue writing, here, there, everywhere. Please write, please do not let words be over powered by evil. Freedom of expression may have been killed in Russia and in all the dictatorships, but this is why we must seek to counter it: for every suppression of the freedom of words we should add our own; free, powerful, strong, creative, and yes, with beauty, a beauty that will put evil to shame and will finally overcome and defeat it.
You, our readers, supporters and most of all our correspondents, and we at Hoggy, have together created a community of the free using our powers with the words we write, dedicated not only to peace, and to Ukraine, but to the freedom to express. It is what we need to do, what we already do, what we must continue to keep doing.
We are an amazing 284 individuals now! A large community of whom some fifty of us have already written here, we would like everyone to write for the blog, every word is powerful, however slight it may seem. These are the words of the free, of the brave, of the just, standing against evil. We acknowledge and salute you all. Please keep writing!

'Lost for Words?'
Having read the Hoggytheyimp entries, I have to say that I am lost for words.
I am appalled by all that has been happening, but at the same time I feel extremely proud about the way everyone in Ukraine and its cities is dealing with the horrors of what Putin is putting everyone through.
Recently a good friend of mine went out to Ukraine with medical goods and equipment as well as assisting the people of Ukraine.
We can only hope that support is continued in such a way, that the horrible nature of this assault by Russia is stopped in its tracks as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your note: it will go in today's blog, we had a blip with a site crash yesterday, strangely just after our analytics showed us a site visit from Moscow. Conspiracy theories abound!
I wonder if it might be possible please to ask your friends if they could write for the blog or, even better, if you could interview them (old skills!) and write it up for the blog? And send it to us?
A view from them would really help in keeping the inspiration going.

I know that many of you will be away for Easter or very busy with family commitments and will not see the blog until next week but please accept our heartfelt wishes for Easter, we will not say 'happy' as for many it is going to be terribly unhappy but you are all in our thoughts. Especially in Ukraine.
We wish the world peace: to return, and to return quickly for you, and for us all.
